“For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’”

Let me give you good news. Anybody who wants to be saved can be. The man who crosses the deadline has no desire to be saved, but if you have a desire to be saved, the Holy Spirit of God is working in you. And if you want to be saved, you can be saved. And I thank God that the Bible says, “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.’” And if you were to show me one time or one place where anybody asked Jesus to save them and He didn’t save them, I’d close my Bible and never preach again. I promise you on the authority of the Word of God, He’ll save you today if you trust Him.
Reach out to a person you’ve stopped pursuing with the Gospel. Remember that you don’t know how God might be working in that person’s life, even today.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
