“...the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”

There are three words that came together at Calvary:
Justice is getting what we deserve. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we don’t deserve.
But wait a minute; grace is more than that! It is grace that gives at great cost to the giver. It is not cheap. Grace cost the life of God’s Son. Jesus gave freely of Himself in agony and blood.
Did you know that grace has to chase us down? If God didn’t run faster than us, we would never be saved! Grace seeks to give to vile and wicked people that which they don’t deserve and can never deserve.
Are you a grace-giver? Find someone today and do that person a favor – something for which he or she couldn’t possibly repay you. Perhaps it will even be a favor for a stranger you will never see again.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
