Do You Have God’s Grace for Daily Living?

“But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.”

Titus 3:4-6

Ponder This

What is present grace? It’s the love of the Father; it’s the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. He makes you new, and He keeps renewing. This means continuous action. Day by day, moment by moment, He keeps us, He renews us, He restores us, and He refreshes us. His mercies are new every day. He doesn't just forgive us and then say, “That's it.” This is the grace of God. It is the sovereign love of the Father. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit and the saving death of the Son.

Throughout our lives with Jesus, the Holy Spirit just drops little gems into our hearts. He sees our fears, and He sees our tears. A jewel of joy, a pearl of peace—they are gifts for today, but we will get the full legacy later. Right now, we have the earnestness of the Spirit. He is giving little tokens, little down payments, and there will be future glory. We’re going to inherit all things. Aren’t you glad you are saved? Think of your past guilt. Think of your present grace. Think of your future glory with the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the amazing grace of God. When you receive Jesus, you receive the eternal life that’s in Him. You can’t have that life without Jesus. Through Him, you will be forgiven, transformed, and receive future glory.

  • When was a moment you felt worn out in your faith? How did God renew you?
  • Who do you know who is in a difficult season and may need some spiritual renewal?

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
