“On this rock, I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

Any great church is built on these four things that begin with the letter B:
The Book—the inspired, error-free Word of God.
The Blood—the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Birth—the new birth of a new Christian.
The Blessed Hope—the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God tells us in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.” He wants us to find a Bible-believing church and connect with the people there.
If you’re looking at a church, find out if it takes a stand on the Book, the Blood, the Birth, and the Blessed Hope. If it doesn’t, saturate that place with your absence. Look for one that does.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
