Finding Unity in Our Differences

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Genesis 1:27

Ponder This

A man is never to lose his masculinity. A woman is never to give up her femininity. God gave you that femaleness. And God gave the male his maleness. A female might object, “Well, I’m not inferior to a man.” That’s right! You’re not inferior to a man. As a matter of fact, you’re superior to a man . . . at being a woman. And a man is superior to a woman at being a man. God made them different that He might make them one. Any society that blurs the distinction between male and female is headed for disintegration and disaster. And in America today, we are reaping the results of disregarding these God-given differences. God made them in the beginning male and female. We honor Him by honoring the way He made us.

  • What are some ways you honor God by living as a male or female?

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
