“…and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Why is the empty tomb so glorious? Because it signifies more than just the fact that God raised Jesus from the dead. He raised you, too, to walk “in newness of life.” (See Romans 6:4.)
I have come out of that grave. I have ascended. You have, too, if you are saved.
Where is Christ today? Seated in the “heavenlies.” Where are you seated? In the same place. You don’t have to die to go to Heaven. In Christ, you are seated there right now.
We encourage our brothers and sisters by telling them to “keep looking up,” when we should be saying, “Keep looking down!” You’re already seated in the “heavenlies,” so you can look down on your problems. You, dear friend, have a brand new life!
Take a moment and ask God to give you a brand new life or thank Him for the one He has already given you.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
