Jesus Must Be Exalted

“‘And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.’”

John 12:32

Ponder This

Peter preached a Christ-centered Gospel message. The Church grew because its people lifted up Jesus. Jesus said, “And I, if I am lifted up…will draw all people to Myself.” No church is going to be a growing, vibrant church if it does not exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some churches reserve Sunday morning for God the Father, Sunday night for God the Son, and Wednesday night for God the Spirit. This may not be literal but there’s sort of an emphasis like that. Of course, we should magnify God the Father, but every service must exalt the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you believe that?

  • Why is it important that Jesus be at the center of all the Church does?
  • What is the danger if He is not?

Practice This

Consider the activities of your church. How is Jesus the center? If He is not, how could He be?

FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

Real Truth Never Changes

Real truth never changes, and the truth about government is that it is God who ordains it, leaders who are responsible for it, and citizens who are accountable to it. The privilege of being called Americans comes with significant responsibilities—to God, to each other, and to the world.
