Praying to See God’s Will on Earth

“In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.”

Matthew 6:9-10

Ponder This

When you pray, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,” do you realize that this prayer has not yet been answered, but it will be answered? Jesus Christ is literally, actually, visibly, bodily coming back to this Earth. Do you believe that? Do you think that Jesus Christ would have taught us to pray this prayer if it would not have been answered? His kingdom has not come yet on Earth. His will is not being done on Earth. But it shall be because our Lord taught us to pray just that!

Practice This

When you read or watch the news today, how do you see God’s will not being done on Earth? Ask the Lord that His will would be brought to Earth. Pray for the people involved in each story; pray for their welfare and their salvation.

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
