“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

Because we’re in Christ, there’s no more condemnation for sin, and there’s no more control of sin. Romans 8:2 says, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”
In the natural world, there is the law of gravity and the law of aerodynamics. The law of gravity is constantly pulling on us; it holds you in the seat you’re sitting in and causes you to stick to the earth rather than flying off. But there’s another law. Engineers call it the law of aerodynamics. An airplane revs up its engines, roars and sucks in air through its engines, then pushes that air out the back. The plane begins to rumble, roar, and vibrate, and suddenly, it’s flying—ten, twenty, thirty thousand feet up in the air. There is a greater power than the power of gravity; it’s the law of aerodynamics.
We are sinners by birth, by nature, and by choice. There’s a downward pull that the Bible calls the law of sin and death. But I can say “Hallelujah!” I’m no longer pulled downward because of that empty tomb! The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Since you have been forgiven and made new in Christ, confess any sin you are struggling with right now. Accept God’s forgiveness and His direction for your life, seeking to walk in His new way.
