“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

To many today, the devil is a laughable character. Many think of the devil only as a superstition. We think of the devil as a guy in long red underwear with a pitchfork. That is the caricature that many have of the devil.
Our sophisticated society makes the idea of a real and a personal devil more or less laughable. But you have an enemy and he is very real. The Bible does not speak of him as a figment of the imagination. It has always been his purpose to pull the veil of darkness over his kingdom. He is happy to have his very existence denied for a while but what he really wants is worship. He will only use this disguise so long before he removes the veil and says, “Bow down and worship me.”
Take time today to meditate on this verse, seeking to remember the reality that you are in a very real spiritual battle.
With space for personal reflections, prayers, and insights, this journal guides you through key Bible passages illuminating the path from Calvary to the empty tomb, inviting you to meditate on the Scriptures, pray, and write as you grow in faith.
