A Savior To Meet Your Needs

"

What is our great need in the world today? Is it information? No, we’re drowning in a sea of information. If information were what we needed, God would have sent us an educator. Knowledge may double, but truth never will.

What is the need in our world today? Is it technology? No, we’re afraid of our technology today. If technology had been the need, God would have sent a scientist.

What is the need in our world? Is it money? No. Do you think your problems would be solved if you had more money? If money had been the need, God would have sent an economist.

Do you think our need is more leisure? Maybe God should have sent an entertainer.

No—our great need is salvation. And so God sent a Savior. And I’m amazed and blessed that He sent the message to humble shepherds: “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior ….” Yes, He is a Savior — “a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11).

FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
