“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”

Some people believe there is a set number of certain persons who are going to be saved and that number has been fore-ordained—already settled, nothing we can do about it. They believe God has predestined some for Heaven and some for Hell. Don't get the idea that God created a little baby and said, “You, child, are going to go to Hell, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.” I don't believe that for one second!
I believe God wants everybody to be saved. Read today’s verse—black print on white paper. Listen, God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
It’s one thing to believe this. It’s another to get out there and start sharing the Gospel with people. What are you doing to present them with the opportunity to be saved? Are you sharing the Lord Jesus Christ?
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
