Financially Right With God, Part 2

"

Many people say, “I wonder why I’m not growing. I wonder why I don’t have more faith. Why is it that I don’t understand the Bible?" Have you ever thought that you need to get right with your finances? You may respond, "What do finances have to do with understanding the Bible?"

Jesus said, "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much" (Luke 16:10). The “least” is the material things. The “much” is the spiritual things.

And then Jesus said, "If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?" (Luke 16:11).

If you can’t trust God with your finances, how is God going to trust you with true spiritual riches? God says, “Listen, you just prove Me. I will renew your faith. Your faith will begin to grow if you do this. I first of all will renew your faith.”

The Bible says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it" (Malachi 3:10).

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
