Paying What You Ought To Pay

"

We have said that half-hearted work is stealing, and if you work for an employer and don’t give him an honest day’s labor, you’ve stolen from him. The other side of the coin is, if you are an employer and you don’t pay what a man is worth, you have stolen from that man. Colossians 4:1 says, “Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.”

That also speaks to the domestic or landscaping work you may have had done on your home. Do you pay these people what is just and equal? If you were in their place, would you expect to be paid more than you pay those people?

James 5:4 says, “Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.”

That means that God sees when you don’t pay what you ought to pay.

FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

Real Truth Never Changes

Real truth never changes, and the truth about government is that it is God who ordains it, leaders who are responsible for it, and citizens who are accountable to it. The privilege of being called Americans comes with significant responsibilities—to God, to each other, and to the world.
