First Corinthians 11:3 says, “But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." Does this mean that the Son is inferior? Of course not!
The Bible says this about Jesus, "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men" (Philippians 2:6-7). Headship does not have anything to do with inferiority. It is simply that the home needs a head.
Anything with no head is dead, and anything with two heads is abnormal. This doesn’t mean that the wife is inferior. Both the male and the female bear the image of God. They are both heirs of the grace of life and one in the Lord Jesus Christ. They are equal before God.
But while male and female are equal, God has given them different roles. It’s the devil’s attempt to make men and women alike under the guise of making them equal. Oneness and equality are not sameness.
Ephesians 5:21-23 says, "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the savior of the body."
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
