The Liberal Lie

"

We have a generation today that hardly knows in what direction it is going and I label the root of all of this “liberalism.”

Back in the 1950’s, our young people lost their innocence. Music, films, automobiles, money, and education “liberated” them, and they lost their freedom. Afterwards, they lost their innocence, then they lost their sources of authority

Do you remember the 60's? Teens rebelled against everything—teachers, parents, church, government, and religion. And they were left with nothing to believe—no authority.

In the 70's, after they lost their innocence and their authority, they lost their love, and they settled for sex and failed to understand the meaning of love.

Now, having lost their love, they are losing hope. May I tell you, the only way that hope can be restored is in spending time in the Word of God. John 6:63 says, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

I would drive all the way across any city to have my children in a church that preaches and teaches the Word of God. Would you? Do you?

FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
