The Most Damaging Sin

"

Homes today are under attack as never before. We have a generation that knows very little about love at all. And this matter of immorality is one of the chief enemies of the modern-day home.

I want to tell you, the Bible says, “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” The Bible says, “Flee fornication.” And there is no sin in the catalog of sins that will do you more damage than the sin of adultery, fornication, or sexual perversion. The Bible says in I Corinthians 6:19, “Every other sin that a man commits is outside of his body, but he that commits adultery sins against his own body.” It hardens your heart against God. It kills your sensitivity to true love. It warps your perception as nothing else can do. Immorality has been the downfall of ancient Rome, ancient Greece, ancient Egypt, ancient Babylon, and may well be the sin that destroys America.

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
