The Witness Of God

"

“Dr. Rogers, do you expect me to believe in Jesus Christ just because you say He was a historical fact? Or do you believe that I’m going to believe in Jesus Christ just because the Bible says He lived? That’s not enough for me.”

I agree. You need something else. First John 5:9 says, “If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which He hath testified of His Son.”

If you want to know who Jesus Christ is, ask the Holy Spirit. God says, “If you want to believe, I will help you to understand and to know that these things are true.”

Don’t tell me that you cannot believe. You may refuse to believe, but if you seek Truth, God the Holy Spirit will speak to you and confirm to you that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
