“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”

Looking again at Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Do you know what encourages me about this verse? Others may be able to give more than I can give, sing or preach or serve better than I can, but there is no body on earth who can love God more than I can or you can.
Many people may have more resources than you have. They may have more opportunities than you have. But my friend, there is nobody who has a monopoly on love. Isn’t that wonderful?
Anybody can love God as much as they want to love God, and that is the condition for having Romans 8:28 work in your life.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
