And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain…. you are yet in your sins.

It’s an unthinkable question: what if there had been no Easter?
What if Jesus Christ hadn’t risen from the dead? Our faith would be futile, death would have dominion, sin would be sovereign and the future would be fearful.
His death without His resurrection cannot save anybody. Our faith is worthless if He is still in the grave.
How do we know Jesus wasn’t just a religious fanatic, someone with a martyr complex who happened to get crucified? How do we know He is the Son of God and God incarnate? Romans 1:4 says He is “declared to be the Son of God with power…by the resurrection from the dead.” That’s saying, “How do we know God accepted His sacrifice at Calvary? The resurrection.”
The Bible says He was delivered for our offenses and raised again for our justification. No resurrection, no Savior. No Savior, no forgiveness. But Jesus went into the tomb and three days later walked out like a butterfly bursting from a cocoon. He is our risen Savior.
Celebrate the risen Savior! Read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 carefully. Ask the Lord to reveal to you all it means for your salvation.
I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
