Success is not spelled m-o-n-e-y. Success is not spelled f-a-m-e. Success is the progressive realization of the will of God for your life.
If God has a plan for your life, then you would expect God to reveal that plan to you, right? Your glorious duty and privilege is to find, follow, and finish the will of God so that when you come to the end, you can say as Jesus did, “I have finished the work which Thou gavest Me to do.” (see John 17:4).
Then He can say to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord” (Matthew 25:23). Wouldn’t that be wonderful? That is what success is.
The Bible tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:6).
"I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
