What's the problem in your journey of faith?

BIBLE MEDITATION:
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
Is God righteous? Yes. And how is the righteousness of God revealed? It is revealed from faith to faith. Here’s how that works: God gives you truth. You believe that truth; You obey it; God gives you more truth. It’s a step-by-step walk of faith as you obey what God is showing you. There’s no magic formula to living the Christin life other than trust and obey. The problem in your journey of faith is not in the head. The problem is in the heart.

Now I want to say this to all of those of you who are saved: the reason some of us don’t understand the Bible any more than we do is that we haven’t been living up to the light God is already giving us. Why should God show you more in the Word of God until you obey what you already know?

The more you obey the light He gives, the more light you will get.

ACTION POINT:
It’s time we began taking God at His Word and obeying Him. If we begin obeying the small things we DO understand in His Word, God will enlighten our path to understand the things we don’t understand. Ask Him today to give you understanding into the depths of His Word so you can begin to share His truth in greater ways with the lost around you.

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
