Who's Cramming What?

“And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

Joshua 24:15

Ponder This

It’s always amazed me when critics say, “These evangelical Christians are trying to cram their values down the throats of other people.”

In response, I want to ask:

  • Who is it that redefined when life begins?
  • Who is it that has changed the way Americans think about premarital sex?
  • Who is telling us what is decent and what is not?
  • Who wants to dictate when and where you can pray and when you can’t?
  • Are they not the same ones that want to decide who lives and who dies?

Practice This

We have people out there who are trying to remold and remake society in their own image. It’s time God’s people said, “Enough is enough!” Make this a time of prayer, for we are in a spiritual battle for the hearts and minds of our nation, neighbors, and loved ones.

FOR YOUR GIFT TO THE MINISTRY

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
