Why Faith Is Important

"

Now why is faith so important? Because you can’t please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."

Romans 5:1 says, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." If you please God, it doesn’t matter whom you displease. And if you displease God, it really doesn’t matter whom you please. The way to please God is to believe God.

Anybody can be saved if they will put their faith where God put their sins. It is faith that enables us to live the Christian life. First John 5:4 says, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith."

Front Porch Moments by Gayle Foster

WITH KEY INSIGHTS FROM HER FATHER, ADRIAN ROGERS

I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.

Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
