Do you know why we don't know what's going on in heaven? Because we spend very little time there in worship. We rush into the presence of God and say, “Now listen Lord, your servant is speaking.” When we should be saying, “Lord, here I am. Your servant hears.”
The secret of knowing the will of God is worship.
Paul says, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1).
Worship is seeing the mercies of God, then presenting yourself to Him as a living sacrifice. Bringing yourself to Him and letting Him consume you.
Now, He won’t consume an unholy sacrifice, but when you place yourself upon that altar, you will not be conformed to this world, but you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind. And you will prove what is the good and perfect and acceptable will of God.
"I try to unplug each morning with Jesus with just my rocking chair, my Bible, and a pen.
Having a secret place is very important because I know that Jesus is always there waiting for me. I know where I can find Him! His presence is everywhere, but there are places where it is so thick you can cut it with a knife. You may not even have a front porch, but there is a secret place for you as well. God’s invitations are for anyone who will respond. There is no more important request than the one found in Psalm 27:8: “My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming.’”
