What is the significance of Easter in Christianity?

It is the only event in history that possesses eternal possibilities for every human being that has ever been born. That possibility is eternal life with Jesus (John 11:25). It is the fulfillment of prophecy (Isaiah 53) that led those who came before Christ to look forward to His arrival, and it is the celebration of Easter that causes all since to look back at His victory over sin and death (Galatians 4:4-7). Jesus is the center point of all history, and it’s the celebration of Easter in Christianity that brings that point into focus. Easter represents to Christians redemption from sin and death, newness of life in this life and the one to come, reconciliation with God the Father, and the ability to be clothed in Jesus’ perfect righteousness so that we can be called the children of God, (2 Corinthians 5:17-2, John 1:12-13). Easter is significant because it represents the greatest victory ever won; and the one who was victorious is Jesus Christ, the Son of God! (See 1 Corinthians 15:54-57.) Without His victory over sin and death, we are a people with no hope and no ability to connect with God the Father. What is the significance of Easter in Christianity? JESUS!
