The Decision To Become An Atheist

Why does someone decide to become an atheist? Perhaps they’ve been raised in a home where their parents are atheists. Perhaps they started out in life believing in God, but when they prayed about a situation and didn’t get the answer they wanted—or didn’t get it quickly enough—they said, “Well, there must not be a God after all.” Or they decided the problem of why God allows evil in the world is just too great to overcome.

The Future Is Here

An in-depth study of the book of Revelation is no simple matter. But what could be timelier in these uncertain days than a verse-by-verse review of this prophetic book?

Dr. Rogers reminded us often of how grateful we should be that God gave us Revelation! But I can tell you Satan is not. He hates this book, for it dispels the fog and gives believers a hope that is steadfast and sure.

We would do well to look carefully at what the Bible says about “those things that will be hereafter,” for false prophets seek to profit, charlatans concoct predictions, and “ministers” promote themselves with doomsday warnings.

The Golden Key To The Book Of Revelation

World events are so disturbing, many are asking, “Could the Second Coming of Christ be close at hand?” A few who call themselves ministers are predicting the actual year and day of “the end”—in direct violation of the statements of Christ Himself! (Matthew 24:36, 25:13; Mark 13:32)

The book of Revelation is often hard to understand. And many details won’t become clear until these events begin to unfold, but God is not trying to conceal; He’s is trying to reveal.

Our Great Savior

“The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.” (Matthew 12:42)

The Pharisees were criticizing, castigating, and judging Jesus. And Jesus responded by saying, “Look, a greater than Solomon is here.” Now, what caused Jesus to say that?

Tuning Up Tired Marriages

Many couples today do not have a magnificent marriage. Many do not even have a mediocre marriage. In fact, many have a miserable marriage. And the devil knows that if he can hurt us at home, he can hurt us everywhere — in the church, in the school, in society, and in the nation. So Satan levels his biggest artillery at our homes.

But in Ephesians five, God has given the husband and wife some roles in order to have healthy, Christ-honoring marriages.

God's Private Number

One of the greatest invitations to prayer ever given to anyone was spoken to Jeremiah when he was in prison for preaching the truth. God said:

“Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

God mercifully spoke to him in his distress with both a command and an invitation.

Will America Survive?

It’s the question of the day. Can we stay God’s hand of certain judgment? Several years ago, Adrian Rogers found the answer to these compelling questions in Psalm 80, and his message is as timely as ever.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that dwellest between the cherubim, shine forth. Stir up Thy strength, and come and save us. Turn us again, O God, and cause Thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Israel was praying for national revival. A nation with a glorious heritage, delivered from the gnawing chains of Egyptian bondage, led through the Red Sea and Sinai Desert, Israel came into the Promised Land. Never has there been a nation quite like them. Because God was their King, He blessed them to such a degree that when the Queen of Sheba came, she said, “The half has never yet been told.”

The Prayer Of A Patriot

“Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause Thine anger toward us to cease. Wilt Thou be angry with us for ever? wilt Thou draw out Thine anger to all generations? Wilt Thou not revive us again: that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?” Psalm 85:4-6

A Plea for Revival

In Psalm 85 we read the prayer of a true patriot. He’s watched his nation go from disobedience to degradation to dissolution. And because he loves his land, he’s praying for revival.
