Is the Bible culturally outdated in regards to fashion?

What may have been thought of as pertaining to a man in Bible times may not pertain to a man today and the same with the style of women.

Are people punished for the sins of their fathers?

The Bible doesn't say that children are punished for their father's sins, but for sins which their fathers committed - and which they repeated. Sadly, sin habits often tend to be passed down from generation to generation.

Is the King James Version the only real version?

Notice that English was not the original language of the Bible, and that the KJV is a translation just like many other modern translations. Subsequent translations have served to reinforce the clarity, beauty and accuracy of the KJV.

What are some of the fruits of brokenness?

Some fruits of brokenness are pliability, empathy, sympathy, and wisdom.

Why should I fear God?

Whether we admit it or not, we are born with a knowledge and fear of God. The difference is Jesus. If you choose to follow Jesus, your fear of God is liberating, otherwise it is debilitating.

How do we give thanks in all circumstances?

We give thanks in the sense that we realize God is sovereign and that where He does not rule, He overrules. We can give thanks in all things, not necessarily for all things.

Can we achieve holiness if we really wanted to?

How can God command us to be holy when He knows we can't attain it? The key is in one's approach. Invite Jesus in and He will bring His "goodness" to you.

Can a Christian be a social drinker?

The social drinker is playing with fire. He or she needs to get off the fence and take a stand for Christ. I would ask any social drinker to sincerely pray about this matter.

Is there only one right denomination?

The body of Christ is bigger than one congregation, but there is one body.

Should I go back to my husband?

You have the difficult decision. Forgiveness and concern for your physical safety can coexist. Only God knows if you are still at risk. Ask God to give you the wisdom that only He can give.
