Your Role in the Great Commission: Living a Mission-Minded Life

Matthew 5:14-16The Great Commission calls every believer to be mission-minded. Learn how to live with purpose, share your faith, and spread God’s love to the world.

You Can Either Evangelize or Fossilize

Ours is the greatest mission on the face of this earth: the salvation of lost souls. Our message is the greatest message: the glorious Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Why should I tell others about Jesus?

Apart from Jesus, there is no salvation, no forgiveness of sins, no relationship with God, and no Heaven. Without Jesus, a person will suffer the punishment for sin in Hell. We have more opportunities, more ability to communicate, more tools than any generation ever had. Don't let this opportunity pass by. Share the good news of Jesus Christ with those around you.

What's It All About?

Whatever our occupation, every Christian has a second full-time job—we are called to be evangelists. Our Savior said, “Lift up your eyes and look upon the fields, they are white already unto harvest” (John 4:35). Part of God’s plan for you is to get your eyes off self and onto others. No matter how faithfully you attend church, generously give, eloquently teach, or circumspectly walk, if you’re not endeavoring to bring people to Jesus Christ, you’re not right with God. God didn’t save you to be a member of Christians Anonymous. He commands us to go make disciples. It’s not a request; it’s a command.

What is the Great Commission?

Whenever someone is going away and personally pulls you aside to say something, it’s usually pretty important and worth listening to. The Great Commission is just that. It is of the utmost importance and is not only worth listening to but is also worth our obedience. The Great Commission...

What is Evangelism?

Evangelism is the spreading of the Gospel of Christ through various means. Evangelism is not just the responsibility of pastors and teachers. The responsibility falls to every believer. All those who claims Jesus as Lord and Savior are to share the Gospel with their friends, family, coworkers, and the people they come across in daily life. You don’t have to...

What do I need to know to share Jesus with others?

You need to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ (the good news), your own experience, and your assignment.

What did Jesus mean by “make disciples”?

The word “make” (disciples) in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) is the primary verb of the text. The word “Go” can also be defined as “as you are going.” In other words, as you are walking with Christ in your Christian life, make disciples. As you are living out Christ before others, as you are sharing your faith, make disciples. Jesus never said...

What are the three points of the Great Commission?

The three points of the Great Commission are that, as Christians, we are to make disciples, to baptize, and to teach. Let’s look at these three points from Matthew 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” The first point is...

What are some opportunities to be more intentional?

There are several areas in our lives where we can find opportunities to be more intentional in our witness: in our families, with our neighbors, at work, in our communities, nation, and world.

The Soul Winner's Six Mighty Motivations

If you received a thousand dollars for every soul you led to Christ, would it make a difference? Would it increase your motivation? I want to speak to you about the soul winner's motivation. The mightiest soul winner I know anything about is the Apostle Paul, and in 2 Corinthians we find out what motivated him to be the greatest missionary the world has ever known. People asked Paul, “Why do you work so hard?”

The Soul Winner’s Motivations for Evangelism

2 Corinthians 5Uncover the driving forces behind evangelism, sharing the Gospel, and inspiring others to embrace the love and salvation of Jesus Christ.
